Mission Team

Meet the 2017 Thailand team

Reed Felton

I want to help be an equipper and encourager for the in-country missionaries that are here full time in Thailand. As a direct result of our mission here, a church that serves seven different provinces will have 2500-3000 visitors in a four day period. 1000 of these visitors will leave having improved vision as result of the eye glass clinic BLC helped make possible. To my eyes, (pun intended) that is worthy work.

I am on this mission trip because there is a great need to learn
about who our God is in Thailand.
There may be a language barrier, but just our presence, willingness
to serve and friendly smiles speak volumes.

I am excited to see be part of this team from BLC! We will be providing eye exams and eye glasses to people who would not can’t afford it. We will also be the hands and feet of Jesus. My hope is that some of the people will come away with questions about Jesus that will lead them into a relationship with him.

I keep coming back to Thailand because of the people and the relationships we continue to build. By building the relationships, the heart becomes open to the spirits nudging. It opens the door for the local missionaries to continue watering the seeds of faith.

I am on the trip to do something meaningful,
and to learn about the needs of those people
who are less fortunate than we are in the USA.

Richard Li
This is my first mission trip, and I am excited to visit Thailand. I had thought about helping with the mission trips to Mexico, but without a teenager, I was not sure if I would fit in. Having never been on a trip before, I have no idea what to expect. My spiritual gifts do not include teaching, so I am glad we are not holding a VBS or English classes. My only fear is the 90 degree humid heat without air conditioning. One thing I hope to gain is a better understanding of how we can help those less fortunate than us in the USA.
